Meanwhile, LN doesn't even have a foreign policy spokesperson, their policies are vague, and they've never been interested in Italy's foreign relationships anyway, bar some regionalist issues like telling the US to stop flying jets in Aviano because it disturbs chicken farmers and tourists. Then again, Berlusconi has always been seen as a foreign policy guy more than any other post, and above that he's had awkwardly too-friendly relationships with Putin and Trump, so that puts him on an even better ground today as they're both in power. It is however logically clear that LN will yield significantly more policy influence if they have the most seats out of the centre-right coalition, to the point that Berlusconi will probably become ceremonial if the LN:FI ratio returns to the opinion polls seen around October last year. Lega Nord has endorsed Berlusconi taking the post of Prime Minister irrespective of the voting ratio between FI and LN. If they lead a coalition, there won't be an issue.

Sorry for taking so long to respond to this one, I'll make most of the changes, but the CP's leader has openly said that she wants to stay in Renzi's next government as part of the centre-left coalition. To add to that, the Popular Civic List are included under the banner of the Centre-Left Coalition when they're a separate coalition. Forza Italia are only a couple of points ahead of Lega Nord, and Fratelli d'Italia are doing better than the rest of the smaller centre-left coalition combined. I'd recommend you change the poll to be more inclusive to other parties and not so broad.Ĭentre-Left Coalition is fine since the Democratic Party is the only large party in that, the others are sitting <2% in the polls, but centre-right coalition is too broad.
